With the "AWE" mode the AwEasy waits for the full equilibration of the measured product. For the most products, this takes normally from 30 to 60 minutes. The AwEasy automatically detects equilibrium conditions (humidity and temperature) and ends the measurement at that time by blinking the LED ring green or red depending on the setpoint. The display of the AwEasy will freeze and show the measured result of the aw and temperature value. It will also display in green (if complied) or red (if not complied) to the adjusted setpoint.
To start the "AWE" measurement, follow the following steps: 1. Fill out the "Measurement Name" and the "Batch Number" (see more here how to setup Settings). 2.Setup the AW Setpoints (if required) to the right value, which the specific sample needs to comply with. 3.Define the right Stability value for the temperature per minute (depending on the sample and environment condition). This is the temperature stability which the probe needs to fulfill before the AWE measurement can finish the measuring process. Find below the Rotronic recommended values. 4.Define the right Stability value for the water activity (depending on the sample and environment condition). This is the water activity stability which the probe needs to fulfill before the AWE measurement can finish the measuring process. Find below the Rotronic recommended values.

The AwEasy uses an algorithm to accelerate the water activity measurement and provides a result in typically 5 minutes. The measurement ends automatically and it shows then a green OK in the measuring data. When temperature conditions are stable, the value measured with the "AwQuick" mode is generally within ± 0.005 Aw of the value that would be obtained by waiting for full equilibration of the product and probe.
To start the "AwQuick" measurement, follow the following steps: 1. This is the temperature stability which the probe needs to fulfill before the AwQuick measurement can finish the measuring process. Find below the Rotronic recommended values. 4.Define the right Dwell time (depending on the sample and experience). The dwell time uses minutes as a parameter and is required before the AwQuick algorithm can initiate the measurement process. Find below the Rotronic recommended values.

The "ADJ.T" and the "ADJ.H" mode is for calibrating and then adjusting the AwEasy measurement head. Select if you want to adjust the temperatur or the humidity: •"ADJ.T." can adjust the temperature of the AwEasy (max. 2 points) to do that the user has to define the right temperature stability to perform the calibration. Find below the Rotronic recommended values. •"ADJ.H." can adjust the humidity / water activity of the AwEasy to do that the user has to define the right humidity and temperature stability to perform the calibration. Find below the Rotronic recommended values.
To start the "ADJ.T." or "ADJ.H." measurement, follow the following steps: 1.Fill out the "Measurement Name" and the "Batch Number" (see more here how to setup Settings). 2.Define the right Stability value for the humidity and/or temperature per minute. 3.After finishing the calibration click on "Acquire" to save the calibration point, repeat the process to get a second or third calibration point. 4.After acquiring all calibration points click on "Adjust" to adjust the AwEasy to the calibration/ adjustment points.
