Adjustment

General

The purpose of an an adjustment is to improve the measurement quality of a measurement instrument. Measurement errors (difference of the measured value and the reference value) are acquired and used to compensate this error.

Dependent on the measurement instrument, there are several measurement units available as humidity, temperature, differential pressure etc..

Also dependent on the device, one or more measurement points can be acquired. For more details, please see at the chapter Supported devices.

The measurement device to be adjusted must be chosen on the device tree (added and active checkbox).

The Hygrosoft supports also multi adjustment, the adjustment of more than one measurement instrument against the reference at the same time.

Reference

Adjust Parameter - the parameter e. g. humdiity or temperature should be chosen.

Reference - the reference source is to be chosen. Manual Input - it is for the use of a reference that cannot be read-out by the Hygrosoft. The user need to read out the measurement value and type it manually. Optional a further device of the device tree (added and activated) can be used as a reference.

Reference - Information about the chosen reference input.

Reference value - typed manually or read out measurement value from the reference.

Adjust

Device - the measurement instrument to be adjusted. To add an instrument to this list, a further device in the device tree is to be added and activated (active checkbox).

Measured - measurement value, updated every measurement interval.

Reference - reference value

Difference - difference between the measured value to the reference value (measurement error)

Trend - it indicates if the measured value is stable or not, defined by the trend duration and trend stability. For more details please see chapter Extras.

Acquired - counter of acquired points / max. possible qty. of acquired points

Status - status message of the adjustment

One-point-adjustment

A one-point-adjustment means that a simple acquisition/adjustment is executed at a certain climate. This adjustment effects typically a offset on the whole measurement range of the instrument.

The procedure

1.Add / activate the device on the device tree

2.Capture the reference value

3.Wait for stability (trend with green arrow)

4.Click Acquire (the acuired point counter increases by 1)

5.Click Adjust (the acquired point counter is set to 0 and the chart displayes the offset)

Multi-point-adjustment

During this adjustment, several climate measurement points in several climate conditions are acquired over a wider measurement range.

With the adjustment after the acquisition, the measurement instrument will correct his measurement in the following way:

At the acquired measured points, the correction is equal the measurement error. The measurement error is compensated completely.

Between two acquired measurement points, the correction rate is interpolated between the corrections at both neighbor acquired points.

Outside the acquired measurement points, the correction is extrapolated.

Multi-device-adjustment

The one-point-adjustment and the multi-point-adjustment can be carried out for one or more devices at the same time.

Note:

Please beware, that the climate conditions are stable for all devices (trend) at the moment of acquisition and all devices supports the wished adjustment.

Please do not acquire and adjust first point, than acquire and adjust next point. In this case only the last acquired point would be adjusted.

Adjust Info

The adjustment info displays information about adjustment done in the factory and about the last customer adjustment. Only information about the last customer adjustment is principally available.

Acquired points are only displayed direct after the acquisition of data. After finishing the adjustment (Click on Adjust), the acquired points are not shown anymore.

Refresh button - refreshes the adjustment information displayed.

Reset - deletes the customer adjustment and restores the as-delivered state of the instrument.

Delete - it deletes only acquired points not the adjustment. If the user acquires several points and would like delete, than he can chose between Delete all and Delete last (acquired points). After finishing the adjustment, this delete function is not active (grayed button).
