Variant 2 - Membrane

Membrane measurement principle (order code: PCD-S-Mxx)

In this measurement technique, the pressure is converted into a force, which stretches a diaphragm and is measured by a piezo-resistive MEMS membrane sensor.

Sensor features:

oA zero point compensation is necessary after the installation and initial operation.

oTemperature compensation integrated.

oAmbient pressure compensation not necessary for this measurement principle.

Important:

When using the PCD's to measure differential pressure and the reference 0 point is daisy chained via multiple PCD's, then please only use the Variant 2 - Membrane sensors and not the Variant 1 - Thermal mass flow flow sensors. The flow sensor leaks per design and as of such is not designed for this application.

The PCD can be connected also directly to a PC using an AC3001 / AC3001-XD cable.

Further accessories can be found in the Accessories.
