SaaS IT Requirements

What is required to run your account within the Rotronic Cloud/SaaS solution:

It is crucial that the port 80 is open in order for the communication to work.

Check the following links to ensure that the system will work on the Rotronic Cloud/SaaS solution:

IT must white list URL's so that the devices can communicate with the RMS server:

When working with the RMS Cloud below V1.2.1 or not working with encrypted devices over port 80:

ohttp://rms.rotronic.com/wService/rmsService3.DeviceService.svc

When working with the RMS Cloud above V1.2.1 and encrypted devices over port 80:

ohttp://rms.rotronic.com/wService/rmsService3.DeviceServiceEnc.svc

The server will also communicate with the devices as of such the server IP address also needs to be white listed: 156.67.38.83.

 

What is required to Register your RMS Account within the Rotronic Cloud/SaaS solution:

The link to the website.

Your license code.

 

What is required to Log in to your RMS Account within the Rotronic Cloud/SaaS solution:

The link to the website.

Company name.

User name.

Password.

 

What is required to add devices to your account within the Rotronic Cloud/SaaS solution:

Admin rights.

A computer with internet connection and a web browser.

A 24 VDC power supply of PoE.

A free Ethernet port per device and a CAT5e Ethernet cable.

IP address configuration:

oDHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) servers:

Once the devices are connected to the LAN, a list of IP addresses allocated to the devices is required.

MAC addresses of the hardware are included on the device configuration certificates.

oStatic IP (no DHCP) servers:

A list of available IP addresses which can be used with the devices should be provided.

A list of MAC addresses can be provided.
