Filter cleaning

Depending on the application, the filter should be checked regularly for soiling, and replaced if necessary.

Regular calibration

HCD sensors have high long term stability and do not require any additional calibration as supplied.

Long term stability is better than 1 %rh per year. We recommend calibrating the probe every 6 to 12 months, depending on the application. Calibration or adjustment can be carried out using the RMS-CONFIG or RMS server software.

Firmware update

Check on www.rotronic.com for the latest version of the firmware. In order to update the firmware, the RMS-CONFIG Software and the AC3001 cable are required. The digital probes can only be updated via RMS-CONFIG. Carry out a Firmware Update here.

Important:

After updating the HCD Firmware from ≤ V1.1 is it necessary to power cycle the RMS-LOG-L / RMS-LOG-868 / RMS-LOG-915. Disconnect the device from the power supply, ethernet cable and remove batteries and then push the button for 6s to perform a complete power cycle.

Replace batteries and if used reconnect power supply and ethernet cable. The device will automatically reconnect to RMS (for wireless devices allow at least 5 measurement intervals). Do not reset the device.

If you do a Firmware update from ≥ V1.4 , none of these steps are necessary.

Description

Solution

When adjusting a HCD-IC via an RMS-LOG device, the following error message appears: Error while reading the adjustment information

Update HCD-IC to firmware version 1.7.

HCD-IC is no longer recognized in RMS-Config after interruption of a firmware update.

The HCD-IC must be returned to Rotronic AG via an RMA.

In RMS, after updating the HCD-IC, only the humidity data is displayed.

Disconnect the RMS-LOG device from the power supply, ethernet cable and remove batteries and then push the button for 6s to perform a complete power cycle.
