Device description

RMS Data Logger - intended use

The data logger carries out measurements in a fixed interval, saves all measured data and sends it to the database by radio link. Should the connection be lost, the logger stores the data intermediately to protect data integrity and fills up the data gaps when the connection has been restored. The device has a battery so that logging of measured data is also ensured in the event of a failure in the external power supply.

The data logger provides the following basic functions:

Logging of the measured values of the connected probe

Data logging of up to 44,000 pairs of measured values

Transfer of the recorded data to the RMS software

Calibration and adjustment of the probe

Firmware update

Device audit trail

Accuracy (Temperature)

Given by the digital probes

Adjustment

The adjustment function is a RMS-SW standard function and given by the digital probe. The logger does not measure, it forwards the communication to the digital probe during adjustment.

Battery

4 commercially available 1.5V AA batteries

Batteries are not supplied with the device

Recommended batteries: Energizer L91 AA Ultimate Lithium 1.5 Volt (3000mAh)

Data Logging

For each temperature measurement, the measured values are stored in the memory with the associated time stamp. At a measuring interval of one minute, data can be stored for one month, which corresponds to approx. 44,000 measurements. If the memory is full, the oldest values are overwritten.

Operational temperature range of the logger

-30...85°C

Storage temperature of the logger

-30...85°C

Data memory

44'000 measured values, including the time stamp

Measurement interval

RMS OnPremise: 10s, 30s, 1min ... 60min
