Temperature: the temperature signal of the device is adjusted based on the calibration points present in memory. The type of adjustment depends on the number of calibration points:
•1-point adjustment: offset - the complete range got an offset added. The offset is defined by the error between reference and the measured value of the UUT (unit under test).
•2- or 3- point adjustment: Between the the adjustment points, the measurement of the probe is corrected by the interpolated error of the next adjustment points. Out of the adjustment point, the measurement is corrected by the error of the next adjustment point (constant extrapolation)
•Adaptation of the A, B and C coefficients.
Adjustment accuracy depends both on the number and on the distribution of the calibration points over the temperature range to be measured.
IMPORTANT:
•Be sure that the reference environment is stable and that the instrument to be adjusted has equilibrated with the environment.
•Always verify that the instrument temperature measurement is accurate.
