  • Dual HTTP and MODBUS TCP communication

RMS devices use the HTTP protocol to communicate with the RMS Software/database. However, the LAN devices also offer a MODBUS TCP protocol.

The RMS communcation overview can be found here: https://www.rotronic.com/en-ch/produ...wnload?id=1385

Question: can I use a LAN device with RMS for the EMS and at the same time use the MODBUS TCP protocol for the BMS if necessary?

If I understand correct, EMS means "Environmental Monitoring System" (RMS) and BMS means "Building Management System" (Modbus).
In this case, yes, that's no problem if you don't make the Modbus request too often.
Modbus requests at intervals of less than one second should be avoided.
