  • RSorder OSRS: Greater Demons and Black Demons are often found in crowded locations

Now,let's dive into the monsters you should consider blocking for the best XP gains. For this guide,I'll assume you have all seven slots open and that you are using Duradel as your Slayer Master (or Kuradel if you've completed the "While Guthix Sleeps" quest). The following recommendations are in RuneScape gold no particular order.
    Hellhounds

Hellhounds are among the first monsters that should be considered for blocking. While these creatures are decent for AFK training and have some valuable drops like the Primordial Crystal, their XP gains are slow. Hellhounds are single-target monsters, meaning that they don't offer the multi-target opportunities that would help you maximize your XP. This can make grinding through a Hellhound task incredibly time-consuming.

On top of that,Hellhounds don't drop much in terms of valuable loot. You may occasionally get an Ensouled Head, clue scrolls,or a rare Smoldering Stone, but these don't offset the amount of time and effort spent fighting them. As a result,Hellhounds are an inefficient choice for a Slayer task and should be blocked early.
    Cave Krakens

Cave Krakens are another monster that should be avoided. They have a high Slayer task weight, meaning you're likely to encounter them frequently. But despite the frequent assignments,Cave Krakens are slow to kill. Since you can only kill them with magic (preferably a Trident of the Swamp),these tasks tend to take longer than many other monsters. Additionally, their drop table is relatively poor,so you won't be earning much GP from these tasks.

The high task weight and lack of efficient XP gains make Cave Krakens prime candidates for the Block List. Blocking them will save you a lot of time in the long run, allowing you to focus on more rewarding tasks.
    Black Dragons

Black Dragons might seem like a viable Slayer task, but they come with several drawbacks. These dragons have high hitpoints and require special gear to deal with, such as an Anti-Dragonfire shield or an Antifire Potion. To maximize efficiency, you also need to use the Dragon Hunter Lance,a weapon that's extremely expensive and only useful for this task.

While the Dragon Bones are good for Prayer XP,the time spent killing Black Dragons doesn't justify the rewards. Duradel may only assign you a small number of Black Dragons (10-20),which isn't ideal for maximizing XP. What you're really after are tasks with higher kill counts that can be done quickly and with efficient methods.
    Greater Demons and Black Demons

Both Greater Demons and Black Demons are single-target,high-weight tasks that can be a nightmare to grind through. Duradel often assigns large quantities of these monsters (130-200),which means you'll spend a lot of time killing them with little XP return. These demons don't drop anything particularly valuable, making the task even more frustrating.

Additionally,Greater Demons and Black Demons are often found in crowded locations, where you might have to compete with other players for kills. The lack of good loot and the lengthy kill times make these monsters inefficient for training Slayer.
    Spiritual Creatures

Located in the God Wars Dungeon,Spiritual Creatures are infamous for being some of the most annoying monsters in OSRS. Not only do they require special God-Armor to avoid constant attacks from other creatures in the dungeon, but their drop table is equally unremarkable.

These creatures can be incredibly tedious to deal with, especially if you're trying to grind through multiple tasks. Unless you're specifically aiming for Dragon Boots, blocking Spiritual Creatures is a wise decision to save yourself the headache and inefficiency.
    Steel Dragons

Steel Dragons are another creature that should be avoided. They are notoriously difficult to kill due to their high defense, strong melee attacks, and dangerous dragonfire breath. To deal with them, you'll need to bring along anti-dragonfire gear, and you'll often find yourself praying Protect from Melee and using Piety for most of the kill.

While they drop Dragon Bones, which are useful for Prayer XP,the time spent on Steel Dragons isn't worth the reward. These dragons are often assigned in small quantities, but the long and dangerous kills can quickly become frustrating. Since the loot isn't great and the task is time-consuming,Steel Dragons are another candidate for your Block List.
    Final Thoughts

While Slayer is a necessary skill for progression in OSRS,it doesn't have to be a grind of endless tedium. By using the Block List effectively, you can avoid many of the monsters that are inefficient or frustrating to deal with. Focus on tasks that allow you to maximize your XP per hour and ensure that you enjoy the process. After all, getting 99 Slayer is a marathon, not a sprint.

Remember, the key to OSRS gold for sale a successful Slayer grind is finding a balance between efficiency and enjoyment. Don't be afraid to use your Block List to remove tasks that drain your will to continue. With the right approach, you can make your way to 99 Slayer while still having fun along the way.
