The "Replace" function in RMS is a very handy tool to use when a device is no longer available (calibration, maintenance, malfunction...).
The "Replace" function allows for devices in RMS to be replaced with all of the device settings being taken over.
When using this "Replace" function, a reminder event is created within the audit trail.
Event Name: "Probe replaced".
Event Details: Serial number of probe before and after replacement.
Important: When using the "Replace" function, please ensure that the replacing device is not already in the system. If the replacing device is already in the system, it will be deleted along with the history of the device.
This is especially critical when the device is the measuring point (MLOG devices for example). |
