Symptoms:

wPage TestDatabase reports SQL Connection Failed’ but wService TesDatabase displays ‘Runtime error’.

 

Cause:

Special characters in the connection.config file must be coded correctly: https://service.rotronic.com/forum/forum/rms-services/714-case-247

 

Solution:

Remove special characters for testing. If needed encode special characters correctly. Eg & becomes &amp.
