RMS devices communicate only to the RMS server software.

 

In some instances, the customer may want to connect a RF device to the RMS-Config software to configure or calibrate a device. This is the reason the service mode exists.

 

If a device is set to service mode and it tries to connect to an other gateway / USB device, it will automatically be paired with the RMS-Config software (the RMS-Config software must be in search mode). When the device is disconnected from the RMS-Config software, it will automatically reconnect to the server software.
