Cp and CpK are called Process Capability. Cp and CpK are considered short-term potential capability measures for a process.
Cp and Cpk measure your consistency compared to your average performance. Cpk tells us what a process can do in the future, assuming it remains in a state of statistical control.
Process capability:
Cp = (USL - LSL) / 6σ
Process capability index:
CpK = min(u - LSL, USL - u)) / 3σ
USL = Upper alarm limit.
LSL = Lower alarm limit.
σ = standard deviation.
u = mean.
Meaning if no limit is set, no Cp and CpK data will be shown in the RMS statistics.
