System limitations

We often get asked, what is the limit for RMS and I'm afraid to say that we don't have an exact answer as we have not yet managed to break our system.

The limits will be based upon multiple factors such as:

• Number of devices and measurement points.
• The log interval.
• The RMS application server performance.
• MOST importantly, the MS SQL server performance.

Currenly, on our cloud solution we have 27'000 new measurement values per minute (this value doesn't correlate to a specific number of devices or measurement points).

Got it, thanks for the clarification! That makes sense especially with so many variables like SQL performance and logging intervals affecting the limits. Impressive that it hasn’t hit a ceiling yet!
