Battery lifetime
What is the battery lifetime of RMS-MLOG-T-868?
Nominally Battery Life is 3 years (at 23 °C and 1 minute interval). The RMS-MLOG-B is 2.7 years
Lower temperatures or poor signal strength will reduce battery life. The MLOG s calculate battery life based on their activity so RMS software will report when batteries are running low. Batteries are user replaceable and standard. If required they can be purchased at low cost from your local Rotronic office or distributor or from other suppliers.

Hello together
Battery life time changed since we have a new battery. Your first battery had more capacity as the new one. We will update the datasheet with the next realese.
Battery Life for MLOG-T-XXX and all other is 2,2 years
Battery life for MLOG-B-XXX is 2,5 years

Hi all,
When replacing the batteries, please always use the batteries recommended by Rotronic: https://www.rotronic.com/en-ch/rms-bat-battery-for-the-rms-mlog-wireless-mini-data-loggers.html
If another battery is used, we cannot guarantee the lifetime of the device.

James

But how does the battery life time expectation change at different tempertures, e. g. within a fridge, a cooling chamber or also the opposite - within a heating room? Can you supply any data?
The temperature and the interval (due to change between load and recovery) are the strongest factor of influence to the battery life.
For interval: As longer the interval time is as higher the battery life time.
For temperature: At -40°C the life time / battery capacitance is lower than at ambient temperature. For temperatures higher than ambient the life time does not change anymore. For temperatures above 85°C, there is a risk of distruction of the battery cell.
The life time of the battery at low temperatures can not be predicted adequatelly.
